![]() Tips and strategies for Insane difficulty This is no easy task and needs a lot practice if you wish to earn this trophy. This is the hardest trophy in the game, because you have to complete the entire game without dying and without reloading the camera battery. You will also get the Platinum, if you didn't achieve it in Step 3. You may have missed a few of the miscellaneous trophies but if so, go to the relevant trophy on how to achieve them. Refer to the trophy 'Messiah' for tips and my own strategies on how to complete the game on this difficulty. So if you die, you start from the beginning. The only difference is there are no checkpoints. Insane difficulty is the exact same as Nightmare difficulty. Just concentrate on completing the game on Insane and not reloading the batteries in your camera and the speed run and not hiding in a barrel or closet trophies will come naturally. Step 3: Complete the game on Insane difficulty, whilst not reloading the batteries in your camera, not hiding in a barrel or closet and speed running the game in under 4 hours Just complete each one until you are confident you can do each one perfectly. You can use these methods to practice for your Insane run. I have created a mini-guide, which can be found here: LINK and is basically a video of every enemy encounter, chase and dark area in the game and a description on how to get past these. You will need to make sure you know exactly what to do because if you mess up during your Insane run, you will have to start from the beginning. I just replayed every chapter in the game and made sure i knew exactly where to go, where to hide, where to run to etc. Personally, I spent around 8 hours on this step. The purpose of this step is to memorise all sections and practice! You can complete the game on nightmare a couple of times if you want and you could combine it with the speed run trophy but it's up to you. ![]() Practice all of the hard sections and keep replaying each one until you can do each one 5-6 times without dying. This means you will have to play each chapter and complete each one flawlessly so you are 100% certain you can do each section of the game without dying. Whether that be completing the game on Nightmare difficulty or using chapter select to play each chapter individually. The purpose of this step is to play the game on Nightmare difficulty to practice for your Insane run. Step 2: Play on Nightmare difficulty and practising for your Insane run Refer to the respective trophy to see where they can be achieved: There are also 5 miscellaneous trophies that can potentially be earnt during this playthrough as well. It must be noted though, if you do miss any, then use Chapter Select after you have completed the game. If you miss any during this playthrough you can get them via Chapter Select. There are 55 documents and 50 recordings to collect. Outlast 2 is also a lot harder than the first game. ![]() You have 1 life, no checkpoints and nearly all enemies will kill you with one hit and. You have to complete the entire game without changing the batteries in the camera, whilst also playing on the hardest difficulty and without dying, else you will sent all the way back to the start of the game. The hardest trophy in the game and can potentially stop a lot of people from getting the shiny platinum are the Saint and Messiah trophies. ![]() This is for when you do your Insane playthrough. You will also be spending a lot of time practising certain chapters. There is also a speedrun trophy for completing it under 4 hours but you will get this while completing it on insane.
